Who We Are

Learning India Foundation (LIF) is a mission-driven non-profit organization committed to advancing equity, dignity, and opportunity through education-led and justice-oriented development initiatives that create measurable, sustainable change in the lives of India's most marginalized communities.

We operate across India and in select international contexts, working in close collaboration with government agencies, correctional institutions, universities, legal bodies, civil society organizations, and international development partners. This collaborative approach ensures our programs are grounded in local realities while informed by global best practices.

What sets us apart is our willingness to work in the hardest places—inside prisons, within overburdened court systems and in communities others overlook—and our commitment to staying for the long term, building trust, and delivering results that endure beyond project cycles.

Learning India Foundation employs a multi-faceted, evidence-based approach that combines direct service delivery with systems strengthening and policy advocacy. We don't just deliver programs—we build capacity, generate knowledge, and work to change the systems that perpetuate inequality.

Our programmes are intentionally designed to be replicable, scalable, and measurable. We document our learnings, share our methodologies, and work with the government and other NGOs to replicate successful interventions in new contexts.
