SAMAVESH
Inclusion. Dignity. Second Chances.
Focus Areas: Reduced Inequalities | Social Reintegration | Second Chances
SAMAVESH recognizes that incarceration should not mean permanent exclusion from society. We work with undertrials, convicted prisoners, released inmates, and marginalized youth to provide education, skills training, and comprehensive reintegration support that enables them to rebuild their lives with dignity.
Our work addresses the reality that most incarcerated individuals in India come from marginalized backgrounds, lack education and skills, and face enormous barriers to reintegration upon release. Without support, recidivism rates remain high and cycles of crime and poverty continue.
Prison-based education and training programs, post-release support services, case management and follow-up systems.
